Disney has released a teaser clip from Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey, a documentary almost the sci-fi film that will debut at SXSW later this month. The documentary is also included every bit a bonus feature for The Forcefulness Awakens' upcoming habitation video release.

This clip specifically showcases the first table read for The Force Awakens. "Just as a fan of Star Wars, to come across them all together was an incredible thrill," director JJ Abrams says in the clip.

The Force Awakens comes to iTunes and other digital services on Apr 1 (not an April Fools' joke) and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD starting April five.

To hype the release of the documentary, which premieres at SXSW on March xiv, Disney brought Stromtroopers and a huge TIE Fighter replica to Austin, Texas. You tin check out some images below.

The Cinematic Journeying documentary is but one of the bonuses included with the abode video version of The Force Awakens. It also comes with the following (descriptions via Disney):

In an interview with the Independent paper, the moving picture'southward editors Mary Jo Markey and Maryann Brandon revealed that fans could expect "seven or eight" deleted scenes. "We accept been talking nearly [the deleted scenes]," Brandon said. "But Disney has mentioned to us that--since they're going to be DVD treats for viewers--that we should stop talking about them."

"There aren't a lot. There'due south one with Harrison Ford, at that place's one with Rey, merely in that location aren't a lot."
